Travel Purpose: business
Positive: 5 star prices but not 5 star ( even by Türkiye's standards) . I booked this for a short stay as I always wanted to stay here but could not afford a long stay due to the cost . The location was fantastic and the actual accommodation i.e. private pool, view , staff , breakfast was amazing . However the actual accommodation itself at one time may have been a " minimalist " concept but the furnishings were dated . The Tv was a dated model and although had a cable channel was not a smart Tv which many other properties offer . The bathroom was very modern and the bed comfortable with an amazing view . The properties further back were only accessible by stairs which may be difficult to navigate for the more elderly or infirm . The cleaner always had a smile and a chat and the staff were helpful and friendly . There was a very flimsy handrail going up the stairs which if a child or elderly person grabbed onto would have come away from the wall . Breakfast was great , however coffee was served luke warm which was quickly rectified with a complimentary upgrade . Location and position were great and a view to die for . The actual hotel location was easier accessed than other properties in Kalkan as close to Marina and beachfront restaurants. Well stocked mini bar at a good price - not over inflated .
Negative: I would recommend upgrading the furnishings and perhaps having the living area upstairs and the bedroom downstairs , then this place would be deserving of its daily rates . However if the rooms are not upgraded then this accommodation is not good value for money and is over priced therefore either upgrade the rooms so it is fully 5 star or lower the daily rate accordingly . Dated furniture and fixtures and fittings . Coffee served cold The door I thought had scraped off paint - however on further inspection this was a layer of dust - which I cleaned off easily . That being said I would stay here again as the positives outweigh the negatives
