Travel Purpose: business

Positive: I don't usually book 1-star hotels but this one really exceeded its rating. I booked it for the location near the metro for easy access to Istanbul Trade Market, which worked well. But the hotel itself surpassed its rating in many ways. The room was good, the bathroom clean and the staff really friendly one or two of whom spoke some English. The room itself was a bit small and there wasn't any option for breakfast, but hey, I'm not complaining as I felt I got really good value for money. And being right next to the busy shopping precinct full of restaurants and the eclectic collection of shops typical of Istanbul, it was a delight to go exploring in the evenings, which felt safe and welcoming. In short so long as you're not looking for uber luxury, and you can cope with going out for meals which is fun and exciting, this is a great choice. And the wifi was perfect.

Negative: There is a bit of street noise until quite late, and the desk was a bit close to the bed, But seriously that's it.
